News & Announcements
In accordance with State Law, Windsor has completed a revaluation of all property included on its Grand List as of October 1, 2013.
The purpose of a revaluation is to determine the current fair market value of all properties. For local property tax purposes, state law requires that municipalities assess all property at 70% of its current fair market value. Notices have been mailed to every property owner indicating both the market value and the proposed assessment.
Please follow the 2013 Revaluation link for further information and, if you believe your value does not reflect the current market value, the steps needed to appeal your assessment.
You may use the "Property Card" link to view the current value and information for any property in the Town of Windsor.

Congratulations to the 2013 graduating class of the Windsor Citizen's Academy. Fourteen Windsor residents completed the 8-week program that provides a behind the scenes look at the operations of the town. The class visited a different town facility each week and participated in presentations from all town departments to learn more about the town's day-to-day operations, funding, programs and services. To date, 159 Windsor residents have completed the program since it began in 2005.

Field Reviews of Residential Properties Being Conducted in November
As part of the current town-wide revaluation, two employees of Vision Appraisal, the Town of Windsor's revaluation vendor, are conducting a field review of all residential properties. The field review is a step in the revaluation process that checks the accuracy of the property cards the town has on record. They are viewing properties from the street unless there is something that they need to check out more thoroughly such as items not currently listed on a property card or if the reviewer has an obstructed view of an addition on a house. The vehicles used by Vision Appraisal are marked with signs on both sides of their cars and staff members are carrying identification badges and a letter explaining what they are doing. For more information contact the Windsor Assessor's Office at 860-285-1816.
