WINDSOR VETERANS MEMORIAL CEMETERY
INFORMATION

It is our hope that the Windsor Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery is a facility that reflects the dignity, simplicity and uniformity for which military cemeteries are known.  With this in mind, we request your cooperation and understanding regarding the following information.  If you have any questions or comments regarding the maintenance at this site, please call (860) 285-1855.

1. OUT OF RESPECT FOR OUR VETERANS, DOGS ARE PROHIBITED ON CEMETERY PROPERTY.

2. FRESH FLOWERS MAY BE PLACED ON GRAVES AT ANY TIME.

3. ARTIFICIAL FLOWERS ARE NOT PERMITTED FROM APRIL 15 – OCTOBER 31.

4. POTTED PLANTS ARE PERMITTED ONLY DURING THE PERIOD 7 DAYS PRIOR AND 7 DAYS AFTER:

                                            Easter Sunday

                                            Mothers Day

                                            Memorial Day

                                            Fathers Day

                                            Veterans Day

           POTS MUST BE PLACED ON THE SURFACE OF THE GROUND ONLY.

5. CHRISTMAS WREATHS OR GRAVE BLANKETS ARE PERMITTED DECEMBER 15 THROUGH JANUARY 5.

6. PLANTING OF ANY MATERIAL IS PROHIBITED.

7. THERE WILL BE A GENERAL CLEAN-UP OF FLORAL TRIBUTES:

                                 March  1st

                                 1 week after Easter

                                 1 week after Memorial Day

                                 1 week after Veterans Day

                                 2 weeks after Christmas

8. PLEASE REMOVE ITEMS YOU WISH TO SAVE BEFORE THESE CLEAN-UP TIMES.

9. NON-CONFORMING AND/OR UNSIGHTLY FLORAL TRIBUTES WILL BE DISPOSED OF IMMEDIATELY.

10. NO ALTERING OF GROUNDS OR MARKERS OR ORNAMENTATION IS PERMITTED.
