Town Budget - FY2007

Fiscal Year 2007 Budget in Brief

The FY07 proposed budget is $5.16 million, or 6.23% greater than last year's budget. The financial plan as proposed by the Town Manager on April 3, 2006 has been reviewed and discussed at six public budget meeting during the month of April by the Windsor Town Council. On April 24, 2006, the Town Council amended and approved the budget that will be put forth to the Windsor voters in the budget referendum scheduled for Tuesday, May 16, 2006.

Balancing competing forces such as: energy and health cost increases; opening the newly renovated library; partial funding of positions in last year's budget; and the use of cash reserves against service delivery enhancements, were the challenges faced in developing this budget.

The below Budget in Brief document provides a broad overview of the proposed FY 2007 budget. See inside to learn more about where our money comes from and where it goes.
