Holidays:

12 including birthday (10 fixed, 2 variable) / year
Police: 12 plus birthday
Vacation Leave:

Up to five years - 2 weeks
Five to ten years - 3 weeks
Ten years and over - 4 weeks

Sick Leave:
Ten days/year
Short Term Disability Plan:
66 2/3% pre-disability earnings to a max. of $1,000/week for 26 weeks [Police - 52 weeks]
Long Term Disability Plan:
66 2/3% pre-disability earnings to a max. of $5,000/month [Police excluded]
Personal Leave:
Two days/year (may earn up to 3 additional days based on usage of sick, workers' comp, and disability leave) for unaffiliated, Public Works/Clerical and Police bargaining units
Family & Medical Leave:
Up to 12 weeks in accordance with Town policy and 1993 Federal Family & Medical Leave Act [FMLA]
Bereavement Leave:
Up to 3 days leave
Tuition Reimbursement:
75% of tuition up to $2,100 annually for unaffiliated employees
50% of tuition up to $1,400 annually for bargaining unit employees

Dental Insurance:
Basic Full Service Dental Plan includes Rider A
Life Insurance: (Optional life insurance for spouse and children)
Term life and AD&D; unaffiliated employees receive one and one-half or two times basic annual salary depending on pay grade, rounded up to the next higher thousand; Police and dispatchers receive $50,000 term life coverage; Public Works/Clerical union employees receive one times annual salary
Deferred Compensation:
Participation in ICMA deferred compensation program
Retirement Plan:
Defined Contribution Plan for unaffiliated and Public Works/Clerical employees with employee and employer each contributing 5% of salary; Defined Benefit Plan for dispatchers, employees contribute 2.25% of salary; Police participate in the State of CT MERF B plan and contribute 5.00% of salary
