Mayor Trinks called the Public Hearing to order at
7:07 p.m. to discuss an Ordinance appropriating
$800,000 for Replacement of the Roof on the North
Section of the L.P. Wilson Building, and authorizing
the issue of $800,000 bonds and notes to finance the
appropriation.
Mayor Trinks read the notice.
Public Comment
Mr. Bradshaw Smith, 23 Ludlow Road, supports this
project only on the condition that the entire roof is
done. It is in his opinion that flat roofs cannot be
replaced in pieces but rather all at once. The Sage
Park Middle School roof was repaired in pieces and it
had to be ripped up and repaired as a whole. The
remaining portion of the L.P. Wilson roof has only
five years of life left. It is in his opinion that it
would be good fiscal management to do the entire roof
now, with a low interest rate and lower costs for
labor and materials.
Mayor Trinks adjourned the meeting at 7:12 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Kristin Countryman
Clerk of the Windsor Town Council
