Mayor Trinks called the Public Hearing to order at
7:00 p.m. to discuss an Ordinance appropriating
$270,000 for improvements to Sage Park Middle School
and Windsor High School Athletic Fields, and
authorizing the issue of $270,000 bonds and notes to
finance the appropriation.
Mayor Trinks read the notice.
Public Comment
Mr. Bradshaw Smith, 23 Ludlow Road, addressed the
Council. He noted that the last time this was
discussed, it was mentioned that synthetic turf would
have benefits with long term savings, which would
outweigh the short-term costs. He feels that now may
be the time to do it, rather than later.
Mr. Brian Gillespie, 14 Farms Road, spoke in favor
of the ordinance. The baseball field is used for over
80 games. He would also like to have lights for the
baseball field. If the field is moved sometime in the
future, perhaps we could get lights.
Mayor Trinks adjourned the meeting at 7:07 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Kristin Countryman
Clerk of the Windsor Town Council
