January 18, 2005

Approved Minutes

To hear an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $445,000 FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF ELM STREET FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH BROAD STREET TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH PRESTON STREET AND RELATED AMENITIES AND IMPROVEMENTS INCLUDING SIDEWALK AND CURBING INSTALLATION AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS AND AUTHORIZING THE ISSUE OF $445,000 BONDS AND NOTES TO FINANCE THE APPROPRIATION."

Mayor Trinks called the public hearing to order at 7:15 p.m.

Mayor Trinks read the public hearing notice.

Public Comment

Ms. Elizabeth Parker, 77 Elm Street, is in favor of reconstructing Elm Street, however she is concerned about the drainage from Creamery Brook. Erosion is a major problem. She has an easement behind her property and she has cement blocks near the brook. All of the houses in the area have the erosion.

Mr. Robert Pansius, 47 Elm Street, is in favor of the reconstruction of Elm Street and he has the same reservations as Ms. Parker. He has a tree that borders the stream that fell due to erosion and hit a car. The stream should be inspected while raining.

Mayor Trinks closed the public hearing at 7:24 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,
