Mayor Hogan called the special meeting to order at 7:03 PM.

ROLL CALL - PRESENT- Mayor Hogan, Deputy Mayor Curtis, Council member Graff, Council member Haverstock, Council member Pacino, Council member Ploszaj, Council member Ristas and Council member Trinks

Mayor Hogan reviewed the voting processing to take place on May 11, 1999 regarding the budget. If the budget passes, on Monday there will be an agenda item to set the mill rate - 22.7 mills.

Mayor Hogan gave a brief overview of the FY99/00 budget.

1. PUBLIC COMMENT

Mark Cashman, 451 Prospect Hill Road, said most of the town is probably unaware of this evening’s meeting since it is not mentioned in the budget document. He discussed a few myths reported year after year, such as the budget has suffered cuts and more money being needed for education.

Public comment closed at 7:14 PM.

2. COMMUNICATIONS FROM COUNCIL MEMBERS

Council member Ristas-- asked a procedural question of the Mayor.

3. DISCUSSION OF FY 1999/2000 BUDGET

None.

4. ADJOURNMENT

Council member Ploszaj made a motion, seconded by Council member Graff , to adjourn the meeting at 7:18 PM. Motion 8-0-0.
