About Eric:

Eric Barz received a BS and MA in Geography from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1987 and 1989 respectively and has been an AICP certified planner since 1994.  Mr. Barz has worked for over 20 years as a professional planner in both the public and private sectors, serving as Assistant Town Planner in Windsor, Town Planner in Canton, CT, and a planning consultant with Planimetrics in Avon, CT before returning to Windsor as Town Planner in 2006.

In his current role as Town Planner, Eric manages the budget, staff, and activities of Planning Department; reviews applications; drafts plans and regulations; and conducts numerous other activities in support of the Town Planning and Zoning Commission, the Town Council and other town departments and agencies.
