January 5, 2:45pm-8:00pm: 2012 Ski Club Registration-Windsor Recreation & Leisure Services 2012 Ski Club is open to all Windsor High School and Sage Park Middle School students. All skiers/snowboarders will be picked up in both the Windsor High School & Sage Park Middle School parking lot, and transported to Ski Sundown in New Hartford immediately following the dismissal bell from school and will return to the Sage Park Middle School parking lot at approximately 8:00 p.m.

Ski club offers a package for everyone whether you are looking to learn how to ski/snowboard or if you are an experienced rider.  We will offer packages that include lift tickets, rentals, and lesson options, and new this year students who has a Sundown Season pass can join ski club to take the trip with our group!   

 

***All online registration MUST fill out the SKI CLUB WAIVER forms located on the Recreation & Leisure Services homepage or click here for forms.   All forms MUST be returned to the Recreation & Leisure Services Office no later than Saturday December 10, 2011.

 

January-March: WIBL- You like Basketball? We got basketball! The Windsor Recreation and Leisure Services Youth Basketball League is an instructional/recreational league open to all Windsor boys and girls grades 2nd thru 12th. Basic fundamentals and sportsmanship are stressed. Teams will practice once a week and play games on the weekends. Teams consist of 2nd and 3rd grade coed, 4th and 5th grade, 6th and 7th grade, 8th and 9th, 10th thru 12th grade, which are separated into boys and girls leagues. The season is from January through mid March. There are no playoffs. All participants must attend at least one clinic in December. Registration takes place from September 6 through December 2. There will be no registration taken at the clinics.  Coaches will contact participants with the Actual Day, Time and Location of your practices and games after the clinics.

 

6:00pm-7:00pm Monthly: Karate- The Windsor School of Self Defense offers an excellent physical and mental workout, increasing ones' coordination and flexibility. Classes meet every Tuesday & Thursday from 6pm-7pm in the gymnasium at LP Wilson Community Center.  Whether your goal is to build self-confidence, increase strength or just have fun, this class has something for every member of the family.  This monthly program is for both boys and girls ages 5-18.

 

February 7: Skills n’ Thrills Soccer-From 6:15pm-7:15pm.  Are you interested in learning to play soccer or maybe just want some extra time to practice?  Then the Skills n' Thrills soccer clinic is for you.  The clinics will help you practice and learn more about the game of soccer in a fun environment.  The coaches are from the UK International Soccer Camp.  The fee for this class is $60.00.  Clinics are from 6:15pm to 7:15pm on Tuesdays through March 27 at 330 Windsor Avenue Community Center.

 

March 3: Start Smart Soccer-From 9:00am-10:00am.  Windsor Recreation & Leisure Services presents Start Smart Soccer.  Do you have a 3-5 year old that you would like to learn the basics of soccer?  If so this course is for you!  Both parents and children will participate in the start smart course.  Course materials will be given out for individuals to take home and practice with.  Get involved with teaching your child how to kick, dribble, pass, and more play other interactive games.  The fee for this class is $55.00.  This class will meet from 9:00am to 10:00am each Saturday through April 7 at the 330 Windsor Avenue Community Center.   

 

April 21: Start Smart Baseball-From 9:00am-10:00am.  Windsor Recreation & Leisure Services presents Start Smart Baseball.  Do you have a 3-5 year old that you would like to learn the basics of baseball?  If so this course is for you!  Both parents and children will participate in the start smart course.  Course materials will be given out for individuals to take home and practice with.  Get involved with teaching your child how to throw, catch, hit, and more while playing other interactive games.  The fee for this class is $55.00.  This Class will meet from 9:00am to 10:00am each Saturday through May 26 at 330 Windsor Avenue Community Center.
