February 1 – June, 2012: Cirillo Summer Theatre – Now in its 45th season, Windsor’s premier theatre troupe for students and young adults, ages 8 – 24, will be accepting registration forms for its two age appropriate divisions. The junior division for ages 8 – 14 will be producing The Ever After – A Musical, with the first rehearsal (and auditions) slated for June 25. All pre-registered students will receive a role. Auditions are for placement within the cast. Junior division rehearses each day for five weeks from 12:30 – 3:00pm. Three public performances take place on July 27 (7:30pm) and July 28 (1:00pm & 7:30pm). Cost for the program is $120 for Windsor residents and $160 for non-residents, and registration must be done in person at the L. P. Wilson Community Center office. (Early registration is strongly suggested.) Registration forms are available at the office or by contacting Mrs. Susan J. Vinick at suejvin@cox.net. To be put on the Cirillo Summer Theatre’s junior division e-mail list for updated information, also contact Mrs. Vinick.
The senior division for ages 14 – 24 will be producing Roger O. Hirson’s and Stephen Schwartz’s Tony award winning musical, Pippin. Directed and choreographed by Bob Fosse on Broadway, this 1970’s musical continues to astound audiences with its amusing but surreal plot, pop rock music, and Fosse’s signature jazz dance style. Registration for the senior division is a two-step process. First, an audition appointment must be booked in advance with Artistic Director, Mrs. Susan J. Vinick. Contact Mrs. Vinick by writing to her at suejvin@cox.net or calling 860-643-6446. Include the following: name, age in June, address, phone, e-mail address, and preferred audition date, either June 4 or 5 at 6:00pm. Secondly, register in person at the L. P. Wilson Community Center either in advance of auditions or at the audition on June 4 or 5. Cost of this 8 week program is $130 for Windsor residents and $170 for non-residents. There are six performances on August 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, and 11. Generally, all registered actors are cast in the show, but the fee is refundable, in any case, if the casting committee is unable to accommodate an actor.
