Visiting Nurse

The visiting nurse offers free wellness screenings including blood pressure, medication reviews, pulse checks, heart rate monitoring, diet and nutritional information and weight monitoring.  The VNA nurse will be available on the first three Tuesdays of the month and the second and fourth Wednesdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon.  See the Windsor Seniors' Newsletter for this month's dates.  Call 860.285.1992 for an appointment.  Drop-ins are welcome. Foot Clinic

Registered nurses from Pedi-Care offer foot care to seniors each month at the Senior Center on the third Thursday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Nurses will trim nails and check for foot health problems. Appointments are necessary and can be made by calling 860.285.1992.  The cost is $28 payable at the time of your appointment.

Hearing Clinics

Hearing clinics are held on the second Thursday from 9:00 AM to noon and on the last Tuesday of the month from noon to 2:30 PM.  Services offered are hearing tests, cleaning and minor repairs or adjustments of hearing aids.   Ear Wax Removal Clinics are conducted by a licensed audiologist every other month on the second Thursday. Call 860.285.1992 for an appointment for any of these clinics.  Free.

Free clinics and presentations on balance, nutrition, diabetes, blood pressure, cholesterol, heart health and other medical conditions are scheduled throughout the year.  Please see our current Windsor Seniors' Newsletter for more information.

Senior Health Fair & Flu Clinic

Each year the Windsor Senior Center and Windsor Health Department sponsors a Senior Health Fair with the Flu & Pneumonia Shot Clinic during the early fall months.  Windsor residents age  50 and over will be able to receive their seasonal flu shot and/or pneumonia shot during the clinic.  Many free health screenings and services are provided at the Health Fair and over 30 health and wellness vendors will be available to provide information.  Watch this webpage for specific dates and additional information about flu shots and the Health Fair in the future.
