Windsor's Walk of Light
In the spring of 2011 all social studies students at Windsor High School and Sage Park Middle School participated in the preparation of the luminary bags for the upcoming 9/11 Walk of Light. 1,900 luminary bags were decorated. Students and teachers researched the names inscribed on the bags before they began decorating to allow the students the opportunity to personalize their artwork in honor of the individual they had been assigned. The project was coordinated between the town and Windsor High School Social Studies teacher Abbey Lowe, who is pictured below along with photos of the students decorating the bags.
