Family Nature Experience: Solar Energy

The primary source of all energy on planet Earth is from the sun. Discover how people are using energy from this renewable resource and in turn, conserving the Earth’s environment. Harness the power of the sun as you build your own solar oven and make a sweet treat.

Northwest Park invites families (children ages 5-12 and their guardians) to join us in hands-on science & nature exploration. Adults should be prepared to work with their child(ren) to facilitate hands-on learning in response to COVID-19 safety and in an effort to limit social contacts. Guardians will learn how to facilitate hands-on experiences in science & nature through modeling. Preregistration required as space is limited.
