Northwest Park invites home school students ages 5 to 12 to join us as we discover how we turn Sap to Syrup. Become a “sugarmeister” of Northwest Park and enjoy all that our Sugar House has to offer. Learn about the history of maple sugaring and the process it takes to turn tree sap into delicious maple syrup. This program includes tree identification, a tree tapping demonstration, sap collection and sap/syrup tasting. Choose from morning session (10:30 AM to 11:30 AM) or the afternoon session (2:00 PM to 3:00 PM). Registration needed. $12.00 per student (resident). $15.00 (nonresident). 860-285-1886.
