Tai Chi for Adults
Hwa Yu Tai Chi is a low impact, complete movement-education system, and a unique long term health program deeply rooted in self-defense. Kurt Eaton teaches Tai Chi that places emphasis on core development, improved balance, and reduced stress. The program is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays every month at the L.P. Middle School Extravaganza
Middle School Extravaganza is an awesome night for middle school teens. Come enjoy the fun at the L.P. Wilson Community Center tonight from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. It will be a night filled with a music, dancing, games, obstacle course, photo booth, video games, pizza, candy, soda, and new surprises! $10.00 in advance or $15.00 at the door. Dog Training Classes
Let the well-known dog trainer, Laurie Fass, help you bring out the very best in your family pet at Dog Training Class Level 1 and Level II. Activities will include leash manners, sit, stay, heel, come, drop it and more. Learn how to communicate in ways that make sense to your dog. Group classes are not appropriate for dogs with aggression issues. $90.00 for Windsor Residents and $100 for Non-Residents. Basic Baking for Kids! This interactive program teaches kids aged 5 to 11 the fundamentals of baking. Participants will learn skills like measuring and weighing ingredients, how to read a recipe, proper mixing technique, kitchen safety, and much more!
Worst Cooks in Windsor
Worst Cooks in Windsor! Are your culinary ventures less than successful? No matter how disastrous your attempts have been, we can help you transform your cooking skills! Learn basics like kitchen safety, knife skills, protein cookery, proper seasoning, and much more by cooking a dinner party-worthy steak dinner! Once you master the fundamentals in this workshop you’ll be on the road to cooking without recipes and making cooking a habit instead of a chore! Workshop will be held at the 330 Windsor Avenue Community Center from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturdays. $75.00. 860-285-1990.
The Chemistry of Cooking for Kids
This hands-on interactive class provides an opportunity for kids aged 5-13 to learn about the chemistry & science of baking and cooking. Kids will learn about topics such as acids and bases, diffusion and osmosis, the Maillard reaction and caramelisation, and more while getting to cook and eat tasty meals and desserts! The class price includes all materials, and students will get to participate in every step of the cooking process and taste their creations at the end of the class.
Vinyasas Yoga Classes
Vinyasa is a dynamic style of yoga where students coordinate movement with breath to flow from one posture to the next. Students will practice breathing techniques, postures, and meditation, gaining strength, flexibility and focus. Classes are appropriate to all levels, beginner to advanced. Winter Festival & Kids Fair
March 16: Join in the family fun from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Winter Festival & Kids Fair held at the 330 Windsor Avenue Community Center. Enjoy carnival games, crafts, music, professional face painting and a bounce-house! Food and snacks will be available for sale. This event is created and run by the high school youth of the Windsor Youth Services Bureau to provide a fun-filled, affordable evening for families to shake off the winter blues. There is no snow date. A donation to the Windsor Food Bank serves as an admission fee. 860-285-1990.

Basic Cooking for Kids with Special Needs meets at the Community Center at 330 Windsor Avenue from 6 PM to 7:30 PM each Monday starting March 18th through April 1st. This interactive program teaches kids aged 5 to 11 with special needs. Participants will learn skills like measuring and weighing ingredients, how to read a recipe, kitchen safety and lots more in a safe, welcoming and accepting environment! They’ll be able to participate in every step of the cooking process and then taste their creations at the end of the class. $25.00. Cake Decorating for Adults
Adult Cake Decorating is being held from 6PM to 7:30PM at the Community Center located at 330 Windsor Ave. every Thursday through April 4. Learn and practice the basics like filling, applying a crumb coat, and frosting 5-inch round cakes. Then learn the classic and modern decorating techniques, so you can impress friends and family at your next event! All materials are provided and each participant gets to bring home their own cake! $45.00. 860-285-1990.
Girls in Stride Running Club
Girls in Stride is a non-competitive running program designed for all levels of runners ages 6-14. The program is designed to introduce girls to the sport of running, help them gain confidence, build self-esteem, and lead them to a path of health and fitness. The program focuses on using games and drills that make running fun, while also improving athletic performance for those who play other sports. As part of the program, the girls will be exposed to goal setting, journal of training, nutrition, and mental preparation. This fun and empowering training program will prepare the girls for the Shad Derby 5K Road Race on Saturday, May 16, 2019. The program includes a t-shirt and training journal.
