Wende Cooper: Juvenile Review Board Case Manager
Wende has been with the Juvenile Review Board (JRB) for 2 years as a Case Manager and has been a great addition to the YSB team. After a youth is sent to JRB she is the first one to reach out to the family and setup an intake meeting. At the intake she provides information to the family about the JRB process, answers any questions, and collects information to prepare the board for the hearing. She is compassionate, thoughtful, and overall wants to help each family overcome a difficult time.
Wende is extremely knowledgably in the field of mental health and prevention. She has networked in the field a long time and it’s very helpful when making referrals for treatment. Wende has a great work ethic and with little supervision she is able to complete detailed tasks thoroughly and in a timely manner. She always see a project through from start to finish and is able to bring to Supervisor’s attention any issues that stand in her way. Her job performance, organizational skills, and time management skills exceed my expectation.
In addition, Wende states that what she enjoys the most about her job is connecting with people in the community. Her favorite movie is “To Kill a Mocking Bird”, favorite food is sea food or anything ethnic, favorite professional team is the N.Y. Yankees and her hobbies are the following; gardening, cooking, boating, animals and painting. Great job Wende and keep up the good work!
