Hypertension Workshops

The Windsor Health Department will be hosting a series of workshops aimed at educating residents about the risk of hypertension and the importance of maintaining a healthy heart.

To provide these workshops in a safe and responsible manner, they will be available remotely via ZOOM. Please register for the workshop you are interested in and we will send you the ZOOM meeting information.

NEW Sit, Stretch, with Yoga Poses

Starting, Wednesday, May 27, 2020, your fabulous Fitness Instructor, Dee Abrams, will be offering her Sit, Stretch, with Yoga Poses Classes via Zoom! These classes will be ongoing, every Monday and Wednesday, from 11:30AM for one hour – you can join her classes by clicking on the link below. You do have to have the Zoom app downloaded onto your computer, smartphone, laptop, or other device. There is a FREE Zoom account option. If you have trouble with Zoom, call us at the Senior Center at 860-285-1992, we are here to try and help!

Coffee Connection Social Hour

When: Every Thursday Morning at 9:00 AM

Join us for our first “Coffee Connection” social hour for conversation and to discuss the weekly topic.  This Thursday’s topic is “How are you coping in these times of social isolation” – discuss tips, suggestions to stay busy at home, and just get together with friends to chat.  We’ll also look forward to hearing your ideas for future Zoom topics and events.

SCRIBE Writing Workshop via Zoom!

When: Every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 10:00 AM

This workshop is designed to help senior citizens recall their life stories and capture them through the written and spoken word.  Based on the theory that good writing and storytelling are keys to a healthy mind, this workshop will enliven memories and involve participants in a creative group activity. It is open to all levels.
