Shape Up & Work Out – ZOOM!

Description: Shape Up & Work Out is an energetic exercise routine with moderate intensity designed to create a higher calorie burn, improve heart health, improve your mood and a lower risk of mortality. Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30 – 9:30 AM.

Sit, Stretch, and Groove Class

Description: Starting Tuesday, November 2nd, 2020 your fabulous Fitness Instructor, Dee Abrams, will be offering her Sit, Stretch, with Yoga Poses Classes in person at the LP Wilson Community Center AND via Zoom! These classes will be ongoing, every Tuesday and Thursday, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. You can join her classes by clicking on the link below. If you are participating virtually, you need to have the Zoom app downloaded onto your computer, smartphone, laptop, or another device. There is a FREE Zoom account option. Virtual Tai Chi Class

Description: Tai Chi teaches graceful and relaxing movements that can improve your balance, strength, and mobility. Although Tai Chi is slow and gentle and doesn’t leave you breathless, it addresses the key components of fitness/muscle strength, flexibility, balance, and aerobic conditioning. Touted as one of the most beneficial exercises for seniors! This class is held virtually via Zoom. No experience is necessary, register for the month at (860) 285-1992.

Get Your Happy on During Difficult COVID Times

Description: Presented by Jennifer McManus from Atrinity Home Health, LLC. As we grow older we face significant life changes and now on top of this, we add COVID. Through this program you will learn new coping strategies, stress management, the importance of having a positive attitude, staying connected, and practicing mindfulness. We will practice techniques as a group and discuss what feels effective, uplifts our spirits, and makes us feel connected with others and not so isolated.

SCRIBE Writing Workshop via Zoom!

Hybrid Class: You may attend in-person at the Windsor Senior Center or virtually via Zoom.

When: Every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 10:00 AM

This workshop is designed to help senior citizens recall their life stories and capture them through the written and spoken word.  Based on the theory that good writing and storytelling are keys to a healthy mind, this workshop will enliven memories and involve participants in a creative group activity. It is open to all levels.
