Volunteering Opportunities
Office Assistance Program – Volunteers with quality clerical experience and cheerful customer service skills are needed to greet people, answer phones, take messages, and schedule medical appointments one day per week. Other office duties include filing, making photo copies, etc. Morning hours from 9:00 AM till 12:00 PM or afternoon hours from 12:00 till 3:00 PM, or 3:00 till 5:00 PM are available.
Medical Transportation Program – Volunteers provide rides for medical appointments Monday through Friday, usually between 9:00 PM and 3:00 PM, in the Greater Hartford area for seniors and adults with disabilities. Hours are flexible and volunteers drive when and where it is convenient for them. Town cars are available for use. No lifting is required.
Lead a New Club – Do you have a favorite hobby? We encourage seniors to share their interests with others by leading a new club at the senior center. Our club leaders are volunteers who are willing to make their club welcoming to new members. Please contact Rick Liegl to discuss the possibilities of starting a club.
Contact us at 860-285-1992 if you are interested in becoming a Senior Center volunteer, or ask for an Volunteer Application in the Senior Center office.
Why not reap the benefits of volunteering by donating time to your Senior Center? Schedules range from a few hours a month to a few hours a week. We need you!
