The primary functions of the department are accounting and reporting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, cash receipts, cash management and investments. The department is also responsible for the issuance of debt for capital projects, the retirement fund, purchasing, and budget preparation.
What is the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (A.C.F.R.)?
The A.C.F.R. includes the regular audit report and much more comprehensive information about the finances of the town and its operations. It also includes statistical information for a 10-year period.
What is the fiscal year for the Town of Windsor?
All municipalities, including Windsor, have a fiscal year that runs from July 1 through June 30.
Where can I find the Adopted Budget?
The Adopted Budget is available on our website in the Finance Deptarment section under the respective fiscal year after the referendum is passed and the budget document is printed. It is available as a PDF file and can be printed.
Where can I obtain the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (A.C.F.R.)?
When the audit is complete and the A.C.F.R. is finalized and printed it is placed on our website in the finance department section in a PDF file which can easily be printed.
