Flu Vaccines:

For Everyone, Every Year!

Staying Healthy During Flu Season

What:
CDC recommends a yearly flu vaccine as the first and most important step in protecting against influenza and its potentially serious complications.  It can reduce flu illnesses, doctors’ visits, and missed work and school due to flu, as well as prevent flu-related hospitalizations.

Flu vaccination also has been shown to significantly reduce a child’s risk of dying from the flu. Everyone 6 months and older should get a flu vaccine every year before flu activity begins in their community. CDC recommends getting vaccinated by the end of October.

Who:
Flu vaccines are available at the Windsor Health Department for Windsor residents age 18yo and older.

Please fill out the Flu Vaccine Consent Form and bring it with you to your visit.

Where:
You will need to come to the Health Department located at Windsor Town Hall, 275 Broad Street, Windsor, CT  06095.  Please bring all your insurance cards with you (Aetna, Anthem BC/BS, Connecticare, Husky, Medicare, United Health Care, etc.). The cost for the flu vaccine if you do not have insurance will be $30.
