Open House Event

We’re delighted to share the incredible success of Connecticut Cat Connection’s (CCC) inaugural Open House on October 14, 2023! This milestone event, made possible through a grant from the Town of Windsor’s Community & Neighborhood Enhancement Program (funded by American Rescue Funds), brought together the community, adopters, and dedicated volunteers. With tours of the shelter, educational sessions, local vendors, live music, and more, it was a day filled with fun and feline festivities.

The event saw an impressive turnout of approximately 150 attendees, all supported by the hard work of 20 CCC volunteers. Remarkably, 21 cats found potential forever homes in the days following the Open House. The vendor community played a crucial role, introducing their products and services to visitors, from cat toys to grooming supplies.

With engaging activities for kids and adults alike, the day was a resounding success, fostering connections within the community and raising awareness of CCC’s invaluable work. Plans are already in motion for another event next year, building on this year’s triumph. Stay tuned for what promises to be an even more spectacular event, potentially a Clear the Shelter initiative in August, 2024!

This successful Open House exemplifies how grants from the our Community & Neighborhood Enhancement Program continue to positively impact our community and support vital initiatives like the Connecticut Cat Connection.
