For 55 years, Jim’s Pizza has been a place where Windsor residents can gather for good food, great conversation, and a small-town community feel. When the pandemic halted business for restaurants across Connecticut, Jim’s was no different. In addition to closing their dining room for months, they saw very limited customer volume and increased costs for supplies and operations. They were also unable to rent out their banquet room for any events for over a year, which further lessened their income. Overall, Jim’s decrease in income for the year was over 18%. The $10,000 awarded by the ARF Grant will help to keep them afloat. They will use the funds for catching up on rent, payroll, and other expenses essential to keeping the business open. This will help the restaurant to get through the slower winter months, and hopefully emerge to a bright spring ahead.
