Voices Against Lyme Disease

Voices Against Lyme Disease

For the past seven years, Voices Against Lyme Disease has advocated for awareness and prevention of tick-borne illnesses. The nonprofit operates almost exclusively through making appearances at schools and events like Hunting and Fishing shows. COVID-19 made these efforts essentially impossible when it was at its peak, and difficult even afterward. Many appearances they were scheduled to make, both at events and at schools, were cancelled. The organization was also unable to host any fundraising events, meaning they were operating on donations alone. The ARF Grant awarded Voices Against Lyme Disease $5,000. The money will go toward reinstituting programming, operational expenses, and increasing the organization’s marketing and online reach. It will put them one step closer to expanding their advocacy and protecting more people from the dangers of Lyme disease.
