Business Incubators & Coworking Spaces – Windsor Worx & The Collective Space

In a significant move to bolster local entrepreneurship, the Windsor Town Council has approved an allocation of $100,000 in American Rescue Funds to support two key small business incubators and support centers in the area: Windsor Worx and The Collective Space. This funding, aimed at nurturing the growth and stability of local enterprises, will be split evenly between Bromleigh Enterprises for Windsor Worx and The Collective Space in Wilson.

Each organization will receive $50,000, distributed in two tranches, to cover essential start-up costs and programming. These funds are designed to aid in the early and critical stages of business development, ensuring that these incubators can provide comprehensive support to budding entrepreneurs and small businesses. The initiative highlights the community’s commitment to economic recovery and resilience, especially in response to the setbacks caused by the pandemic.

Economic Development Director, Patrick McMahon and several council members have emphasized the crucial role these centers play in fostering a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in Windsor. These spaces are not just business hubs but also community support networks that offer resources, guidance, and an environment conducive to innovation and growth.

Regular progress reports from Windsor Worx and The Collective Space were required to help track the success of the initiatives and ensure they meet their goals of supporting the community and stimulating local economic development.
