L.P. Wilson Tennis & Pickleball Court Renovation

Thanks to an investment of $800,000 in American Rescue Funds, the L.P. Wilson Community Center now has newly upgraded pickleball and tennis courts. Approved in February 2023, this substantial financial contribution underscores a commitment to revitalizing local infrastructure and providing high-quality recreational resources for our community.

The renovation project included the complete replacement of the existing courts with a new post-tension concrete foundation and surface, ensuring long-lasting durability and improved playability. Additionally, the courts have been equipped with new netting posts, perimeter chain link fencing, sound/wind screens, and a shade structure complete with seating.

The upgraded facility features two tennis courts and six pickleball courts, addressing the growing popularity of pickleball while continuing to support the traditional tennis community. These enhancements not only cater to the health and wellness needs of Windsor residents but also provide a social hub for community interaction and engagement.

By leveraging American Rescue Funds, we continue to take a proactive approach in enhancing quality of life through significant capital and infrastructure investments. These new courts show the power of targeted investment in creating spaces that promote physical activity and overall wellbeing.
