Windsor Art Center
Windsor Art Center
Windsor Art Center is a place for the visual and performing arts to be enjoyed. They have been showcasing visual art exhibitions, music performances, artist talks, and children’s programming, all with artists from around New England, for 15 years. The center relies on donations from individuals, foundations, and corporations to sustain its programming, which were very hard to find during the pandemic. The center closed from April to June 2020 and June to September 2021, losing a significant amount of revenue from cancelled programming and fewer donations coming in. Many of their volunteers are also in groups that are higher-risk for COVID, meaning their volunteers have been limited as well. The ARF Grant awarded the Windsor Art Center $8,200. The funds will go toward enhancing programming and advertising, so the center can further pursue its mission to make Windsor a place where art can be seen, heard, and enjoyed.
