About the Inland Wetlands and Watercourses CommissionAppointed by the Town Council, the Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Commission (IWWC) consist of nine regular members serving five-year terms and two alternate members serving two-year terms, with not more than a bare majority from any one party. Powers and Duties
The IWWC derives its powers from Chapter 440 of the Connecticut General Statutes. The IWWC adopts and amends the Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Regulations and reviews or hears all applications for activity in or within 150 feet of inland wetlands and watercourses.
