Summer Youth in Action: July 2 - August 10
This summer program provides nonstop learning and nonstop fun designed specifically for teens to help them gain a greater appreciation of themselves and the world around them!
All activities have a focus on:
Critical thinking skills to help youth on their road to the future
academic skills specific to each week’s themeS
Each week includes field trips to enhance learning. Enrichment and social learning activities are included on all field trips, as well as summer fun activities and swimming on some days at Goslee Pool.
This program takes place Monday through Friday beginning July 2nd – August 10th from 8:00AM – 5:30PM at 330 Windsor Avenue Community Center.
This unique program is for youth entering grades 8, 9, 10, or 11. The fee is $105.00 per week and scholarships are available.

The Youth Services Bureau and Police Department invite families to come out and play at our three annual Community Block Parties! These event runs from 4:30PM until 7:30PM and admission is a school snack donation for the Weekend Wheels Program. Enjoy carnival games, arts and crafts, face painting, music, bounce-house, food and more! There will be prizes and giveaways. This event is created by youth in the Summer Teen Employment Program (STEP) to promote family fun and community spirit in a substance free environment. Call 860-285-1990 for more information.
