Support Groups

The Social Services Department hosts informational events throughout the year focusing on various topics of interest. Event information can be found on our department social media, in our monthly newsletters and on the home page of our Social Services department website.

 

Diabetic Support Group

The Diabetic Support Group is designed for individuals with diabetes, their families, and their friends.  The group meets on the third Tuesday of each month, with the exception of the summer months, at the L.P. Wilson Community Center from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon.  Participants have an opportunity to learn from guest speakers on topics related to diabetes and from one another.  Please call Social Services at 860-285-1839 with any questions or to be placed on the mailing list to receive a flyer.

 

SHARE Support Group

The SHARE Support Group is designed to provide support and information to adults living with disabilities in Windsor.  The group meets the second Wednesday of every month at the Fitch Court Housing sight, 156 Bloomfield Avenue, in the communtiy room from 2:-3:00 pm. Meetings are led by a Social Services caseworker.  Guest speakers are often invited to share on a variety of topics of interest relevant to the group.  Please call Social Services at 860-285-1839 with any questions regarding this group.
