The Town Planning and Zoning Commission (TPZC) is conducting a public workshop to develop a draft chapter of the Plan of Conservation and Development dealing with the Day Hill Corporate Area on:
Tuesday, September 17th
7:00 p.m.
Windsor Town Hall
Ludlow Room
275 Broad Street
With the development of the Amazon distribution facility, changes to Great Pond, and numerous concepts and pending development projects in the works for the Day Hill Corporate Area, it is time to update the Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD) to reflect significant changes to both the Day Hill Corporate Area and the office/industrial marketplace over the last decade, to plan for the orderly development of the remaining vacant land, and make adjustments to the goals and strategies necessary to address these issues.
The resulting draft chapter will provide a comprehensive discussion and set of tools to better guide town agencies, land owners and developers as they address: remaining development potential; transportation issues such as pedestrian access, mass transit, and traffic; and potential changes to future land use such as mixed-use development and retail uses that support area businesses, their employees and clientele.
This workshop will be a work session for the Commission to hear from area property owners and surrounding residents and they welcome the public to attend and participate.
