2nd Annual Pickleball Tournament

Our 2nd Annual Doubles Pickleball Tournament will be held at the LP Wilson Community indoor pickleball courts for those participants 45 and older: Saturday, April 27 at LP Wilson Community Center.  Registration starts March 8 for Windsor Residents and April 5 for non-residents. If 1 member of your duo is a Windsor Resident, please contact the office. The deadline to register is Friday, April 19.  The fee is $15.00 for residents and $20.00 for Non-Residents.  All participants will receive a T-Shirt.  Both players must register for the tournament. 2024 Be Well Windsor Pickleball Tournament Rules

Windsor Recreation Services will be hosting its second annual double-elimination Be Well Windsor pickleball tournament on Saturday, April 27, 2024. The tournament is non-sanctioned and self-scored. All tournament games will run at the LP Wilson Community Center indoor courts 1-3 and teams are guaranteed a minimum of two games. Games are played to 11 points with no need to win by two points.

– Sportsmanship at all times!
– 2024 the tournament is non-sanctioned.
– All games are self-refereed and self-scored.
– All teams are self-picked and must be 45 years of age or older. 
– Tournament players are asked to check-in 15-30 minutes prior to start times.    
– Pickleball balls only will be provided for the tournament
– A coin flip before each match will determine the following:Winner of the coin flip has the choice of serving first or starting side
– Loser gets 2nd choice (example: Winner of the coin clips chooses a side, then the loser can choose to serve first or second)
– A 10-minute warm-up is allowed before each game.
– Each team is allowed one timeout per game. (1min.)
– Each game is played to 11 points with no need to win by two points.
– Players must call “out” on any balls they perceive “out” They must call on their side of the court only!
– Spectators, other players, and court monitors will not be consulted on line calls.
– Spectators, and other players are asked to sit in the bleachers at all times.
– Call “out” or “serve is short” immediately and before your opponent makes contact with the ballBall must bounce out to be called “out”
– Ball must bounce on the Non-Volley line or in Non-Volley zone to be called “short”
– The serving team must announce the entire score before the ball is served and can be called out by either player of the serving team. 
– The point will be replayed if a loose ball roles onto court.
– Any ball striking any permanent object before hitting in the court is a fault! (basketball nets, bleachers, roof, lights, etc.)
– Court monitors are not referees!  They are only there to assist with the score, pace of play, timeouts & will report all official scores to the tournament director!
